Organise your posts and pages by labelling them with custom categories and tags. This is beneficial for search engine optimization (SEO) and content discoverability.
Features of categories and tags
Categories and tags help readers find posts and navigate through information on your blog site.
Categories and tags have differences:
- Categories give an overview of the topics you blog about, similar to the chapters of a book.
- Tags are similar to an index of a book; they’re more granular and divide a blog topic into smaller subtopics.
When you click on a category or a tag link, you’re taken to a page that lists all posts with that category or tag.
Generally, the larger the size of the word in the tag cloud, the more posts have been tagged with that name. Add as many categories and tags as you need to make your post easier to find.
