Log in to your site dashboard

Posted on 23 July 202431 July 2024 by Digital Experience Team

Open the site dashboard by typing /wp-admin to the end of your site’s URL. For example, site.blogs.bristol.ac.uk/wp-admin.

There’s no admin or login button shown on any blog sites, so appending the URL is the only way to log in.

At the sign in portal, there are two ways of logging in, depending on your role:

  • University staff and postgraduate researchers click the blue button labelled ‘University of Bristol login’
  • Blog guests click the link that’s labelled ‘Guest login here’, then type your credentials:
    • Username or email address
    • Password
University of Bristol blogs log in portal page. The prompt says 'Sign in to your site', followed by a single sign-on option button labelled 'University of Bristol log in', and a text link labelled 'Guest login here'.
Bristol Blogs log in portal.

After you’ve logged in the site admin bar is then displayed horizontally at the top of the page.
